Horizon Will Remain Closed for the Rest of the School Year

Dear Horizon Families,

On April 20, Governor DeWine announced that all Ohio K-12 schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. Horizon does have children in this age cohort, and many more in the under-6 age group. Horizon will follow the governor’s orders for these reasons:

  • We cannot yet ascertain who might be a carrier of COVID-19.
  • Very young children are not inclined to follow guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing.
  • We do not yet know if those who have recovered from COVID-19 can be re-infected and, therefore, spread the virus to others.

The health and safety of our children is of paramount importance. Once we are assured that children can safely return, we are prepared to re-open our doors. Until then, we will continue to stay connected with all of you via e-mail, Facebook, and Horizon’s website.

Please stay healthy and happy. We miss you more than we can say, and look forward to being reunited soon.

Best to all of you,

Diane
