Dalcroze Eurhythmics is a holistic music education method created by Swiss musician Émile Jaques-Dalcroze that teaches rhythm, structure, and musical expression through physical movement.
All 3- to 6-year-olds enrolled at Horizon Montessori participate in this weekly activity. Students move, sing, and experiment with musical instruments as they engage in a variety of activities which involve listening, responding, and inventing. The Dalcroze aspects of rhythm, aural training, and improvisation are integrated in every class.
