Ages: 3 to 6 years
Time: 9:00am to noon
Children ages 3 to 6 are naturally curious about the world around them. In our Morning Class, that curiosity becomes the foundation for learning. Through hands-on Montessori materials and individualized lessons, children develop independence, confidence, concentration, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our mixed-age classroom allows younger children to learn from older peers while older children strengthen their understanding through leadership and mentorship. Children progress at their own pace, building academic, social, and practical skills in a supportive environment.
The Montessori Difference
Montessori education recognizes that young children learn best through active exploration. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all curriculum, children choose meaningful work from a carefully prepared environment while receiving personalized guidance from their teacher.

Sample Daily Activities
No two days are the same in our classrooms – nor do we want them to be! Each day begins with a brief group gathering that helps build community and prepares children for the day ahead. The majority of the morning is dedicated to an uninterrupted Montessori work cycle, allowing children to choose activities, concentrate deeply, and receive individual lessons from their teacher.
Children work on various activities, including but not limited to:
- Puzzles, maps, sorting, and tactile work
- Art, music, and creative expression
- Pouring and transferring
- Food preparation
- Dressing frames for buttons, zippers, and tying
- Self-care routines
- Mathematics, counting, and problem-solving
- Cultural studies, geography, and traditions
- Outdoor exploration and gross motor play
- Practical life activities such as cleaning, sweeping and caring for the classroom
Extended Day
Children in the Morning Class ages 5-6 have the option for our Extended Day program from noon to 3:00 PM. Following lunch, the children work with the advanced Montessori materials and group-oriented activities.
