Children must be 5 years old by September 30th
Time: Noon to 3:00 PM
Children who are five years old by September 30th have the option of joining our Extended Day program. Building on the foundation established during the Montessori work cycle, this afternoon program provides children with opportunities to engage with advanced Montessori materials, collaborative projects, and experiences that prepare them for a successful transition to elementary school.
In a supportive and engaging environment, children continue to develop independence, critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, and confidence as learners.
Sample Daily Activities
No two days are the same in our classrooms – nor do we want them to be! Children work on various activities, including the following (and more!):
- Work with advanced Montessori math materials
- Practice reading comprehension and storytelling
- Write stories, journals, or simple reports
- Explore geography maps and cultural studies
- Work on science experiments and observations
- Complete collaborative projects with classmates
- Engage in leadership and classroom responsibilities
- Enjoy outdoor activities and nature exploration
- Participate in special events and field trips
